There are three types of heat pumps we can install: Air Source, Ground Source and Water Source.
All three use refrigeration technology to extract heat energy from their surroundings and raise it to temperatures suitable for heating purposes. They can even extract and make heat when surrounding temperatures are as low as -25C.
They create a constant, ambient temperature and distribute the heat via underfloor heating systems or oversized radiators. They are an extremely efficient method of heating your premises, with ground source heat pumps typically converting a single unit of electricity into 3-4 units of renewable energy.
ROI with heat pump systems is quick and with generous RHI tariffs businesses can benefit from 20 years of RHI payments.
Heat pumps are most suitable for modern buildings with good insulation. However, older buildings, could benefit from a reduction in their energy bills and CO2 emissions by installing a hybrid heat pump system that works in tandem with gas boilers, enabling the operator to supplement the heat output when necessary.
