Photovoltaic Panels
Photovoltaic (PV) panels generate inexpensive, green electricity from sunlight. Panels attached to your roof or walls capture the sun’s energy through photovoltaic cells, converting sunlight into electricity. This electricity can be used to run household appliances and lighting, or it can be sold to your electricity supplier, or perhaps a mix of both.
If you’re concerned that the UK’s climate won’t provide enough sunshine to make the PV panels work, don’t worry: even on cloudy days, they still generate electricity.
Ecotec Services are MCS registered installers which means you will be able to claim the government grant called the ‘Feed in Tariff’. This will pay you a sum of money per kilowatt hour of electricity you generate.
By engaging Ecotec Services to install your PV panels, you can cut your carbon footprint as well as your electricity bills. We can also advise and install simpler solar panels that use the sun to heat hot water or to heat your home. These systems can be fully integrated with your current heating system.
