Heat Pumps
A heat pump – whether ground- or air-sourced – provides heating and hot water throughout the year. Think of it as similar to how your refrigerator works. In winter, the pump extracts the heat present in outdoor air or the ground and delivers it inside your home to keep you warm and comfortable.
The rising cost of oil and gas are constantly rising meaning that your fuel bill goes up each year, Ecotec can help you to reduce this need for fossil fuel, as well as your heating bills. Reducing your reliance on fossil fuel can help reduce your heating bills. Ecotec Services will calculate how much you will save in running costs, giving you a pay back or break even point which will show how quickly these systems will pay for them self.
Some heat pumps can cool in the summer and heat in the winter. Ecotec Services will select the correct heat pump for your requirements and install it safely and for long-term benefit.
Ecotec services will give you a 5 year warranty on the equipment installed, provided you keep it maintained and in good working order.
Air Source Heat Pumps
In addition to providing heating and cooling, the correct heat pump can catch waste heat and convert it into hot water. Rather than allow the extra energy to escape, the correct Stiebel Eltron appliance can help you generate up to 300 litres of hot water at temperatures up to +60ºC.
These appliances are ideal for hotels, offices, and commercial applications as well as domestic properties.
We are currently installing heat pump units at University of Worcester in office and accommodation blocks, and also in a series of barn conversions at Hereford.
